Frank and Tara hornich moved to Indiana in July 2021 from New Jersey. Frank has worked farming micro-greens and heirloom crops for ten + years , as a hobby farmer. Together they have been able to teach the art and benefits of Hobby and Micro Farming to others who simply wish to grown their own food.

Tara Is a Certified educator of 20+ years and Is also certified In SEL , RYT200 and MBSR. She has developed programs and workshops for hundreds of educators and schools In the northeast as well as for the National Education Assoc. Tara incorporates animal and nature therapy into her programs as well as she worked for several farms in NJ for over 15 years. Her work has allowed educators to continue their dedication to classroom teaching , and helped to avoid burn out and other stress-related Issues.

Moving to South Bend allows Curmudgeon Farm to expand and share knowledge with new communities. Programs and offerings from Curmudgeon Farms will include: freshly grown Heirloom vegetables, Micro-greens and cooking herbs, unique herbal tea blends; Goat & Sheep Walks, Goat yoga, SEL/Mindfulness training for non for profit & Educational organizations.
